Sport Horse Breeders

Gisborne New Zealand

Text Box: About Ngahiwi
Text Box: For over 30 years Ngahiwi Station has bred exceptional sport horses—winners in the fields of showjumping, hunting and eventing.
Pioneering the import of frozen semen from some of Europe’s most talented sires, Bruce Holden and son Tony consistently produce athletic competitive horses. Tony is currently actively breeding for all disciplines including trekking and coloured horses.
The Ngahiwi horse is a combination of the famed “Gisborne-bred” horse, infused with top European bloodlines. The Holdens understand the importance of temperament, so the breeding program includes a large component of local bloodlines, to ensure a biddable, intelligent horse, suitable for any discipline. Handled from an early age and raised and trained on hill country, these horses are bred for speed, stamina and agility.
